Inspired by the oriental aesthetic, Grand Carpet is a tile series in block-coloured porcelain stoneware, suitable for floors and walls. Available in one size (120x240 cm), Grand Carpet combines the graphic pattern of a traditional Oriental carpet with the traditional Kolam pattern, generally drawn with rice flower as well as the Mehindi, the ritual temporary tattoo popular in India. The magnified scale, the fragmentation of the drawing, the versatility of the geometric composition of the parts that do not necessarily have to recompose a figure, support the theme of a symbolic decoration.
