Brutalist Table
Giampiero Tagliaferri
The Brutalist table by Giampiero Tagliaferri for Minotti interprets contemporary design through a structural language inspired by Italian engineering architecture of the mid-20th century. The composition recalls the monumentality of the Palazzo del Lavoro in Turin by Pier Luigi Nervi, transforming construction function into an expressive element. The protagonist of the project is the sculptural concrete base with an irregular star shape, conceived as a system of calibrated volumes that dialogue between solids and voids with strong visual impact. The supporting elements vary in size and configuration relative to the top, emphasizing the architectural nature of the table. The top, available in round, square, or rectangular shapes with soft corners, introduces a visual softness that balances the material strength of the structure. The result is a design table with a monumental character, designed for contemporary and sophisticated environments where material, balance, and formal research coexist harmoniously. Minotti creates luxury contemporary furniture collections by combining architectural research, refined materials, and artisanal craftsmanship, giving life to products with strong aesthetic and cultural value.
