Scarpa Carlo
The Rialto bookcase, designed by Carlo Scarpa in the 1970s and later adapted by Dino Gavina for industrial production, is an example of design that combines design rigor and artisanal value. The modular system is based on composable elements interspersed with a characteristic central spacer. The structure can be chosen in natural ash, black stained or in a matte lacquered version, to adapt to different stylistic contexts. At the center of the composition stands out a block with painted shelves and drawers, designed to offer a rhythmic alternation between full and empty spaces. The result is a bookcase with a strong visual identity, balanced between functionality and formal research, ideal for domestic or professional environments that require a refined but not intrusive presence.
