Physis Kitchen
Wood veneer and lacquered
Van Duysen Vincent
The contemporary design kitchen Physis, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, interprets the kitchen environment as a fluid and coherent architectural space. The project is distinguished by a soft formal language, defined by rounded edges and half bullnose processing that accompany the entire development of the surfaces, creating visual continuity between bases, columns, and countertops. A central element is the use of Hinoki veneer, a Japanese wood appreciated for its moisture resistance and natural antibacterial properties, particularly suitable for kitchen environments. Transparent glass doors and open shelves contribute to a perception of openness, while metallic inserts and meticulous finishes emphasize the sophisticated character of the project. Integrated warm LED lighting enhances materials such as wood, marble, and aluminum, highlighting the quality of the workmanship. In my experience, such coordinated solutions work well in open space environments. Physis is a modern modular kitchen, designed to adapt to different configurations with stylistic coherence. Molteni&C is an Italian high-end furniture brand, recognized for its integrated design approach and collaborations with international designers, oriented towards quality, innovation, and stylistic continuity.
