Description

The pendant lamp Allumette, designed by Francesca Lanzavecchia, reinterprets the traditional chandelier through a contemporary language that challenges symmetry and plays with the concept of balance. The name, meaning matchstick, evokes a delicate and diffuse illumination capable of transforming the perception of the surrounding space. The central metal structure supports a weave of asymmetric arms that extend in unexpected directions, creating a shape that continuously changes depending on the angle from which it is viewed. The light elements in transparent PMMA amplify this dynamism, diffusing the light ethereally thanks to a light guidance system that pushes it upwards and gently reflects it into the environment. The textile cables, soft and flexible, contrast with the rigidity of the metal structure, adding movement and fluidity to the composition. The result is a chandelier suspended between geometric rigor and visual lightness, capable of defining the space with refined elegance and never predictability.
