Coir and sisal

Description

CALICUT rug. For the carpets in the Cocos collection, the fibres are obtained from the husk of the coconut. The machine-woven, long-fibre yarn originally came from Sri Lanka and is extremely hardy. At Ruckstuhl, there is a long tradition of coir working. Since its establishment, the company has been devoted to weaving coir carpets and, in Switzerland, it is the only company to do so. The image shows Calicut, a carpet made of two materials combined in different percentages: 71% coir and 29% sisal. Available with a border in three colours.
