Description

Biboni Sofa, designed by the architecture firm Johnston Marklee, represents a contemporary view of furniture that interacts with the human body as a domestic architecture. Its soft and generous shapes evoke sculptural volumes, alternating solids and voids that transform the space into a habitable landscape. The appearance is dual: on one hand, the welcoming softness of the padded folds, which envelop the sitter offering comfort and support; on the other hand, the fluted silhouette and attentive tailoring, reminiscent of the timeless elegance of a Chesterfield sofa. The seat structure combines wood and wood derivatives with flexible polyurethane padding of differentiated density, covered in non-removable bi-elastic fabric. Armrests and backrest have a metal core, also padded and finished with the same covering, while the feet are equipped with plastic supports to ensure stability and floor protection. A new range of fabrics has been developed specifically for this model. Knoll is an international brand that has made the history of modern design. It collaborates with innovative architects and designers, creating furniture that combines experimentation, quality, and a strong aesthetic identity.
