Smart Wood is a new collection of chairs focused on a contemporary use of wood. The models, in fact, through a special patent, have shells with sinuous shapes obtained with a single mould. The series is available in the following versions: K/Wood, a royal-style armchair also available with leather seat; S/Wood, a matching footrest in the same finishes; Q/Wood, armchair with plastic seat in white or black coloured material; P/Wood, characterised by special woodworking. Smart Wood also includes versions in basic veneer, light slatted ash, dark slatted ash with structures in chromed or painted steel. The Smart Wood collection only uses wood from certified forests FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®), thus guaranteeing the origin and the correct exploitation of woodland resources. For 70 years Kartell has been committed to sustainability and environmental protection. "Kartell loves the planet" is the result of said commitment, the industrial manifesto used by the company in order to focus on environmental responsibility and the attention to good sustainability practices.
