Red and Blue is an armchair with frame in black painted beech, seat and sloping backrest in blue and red lacquered plywood. Red and Blue, designed by Gerrit Thomas Reitveld, embodies the spirit of neo-Plasticism. Its distinguishing feature is the overlapping of its different parts which are painted in primary colours to signal their specific function.
